Last job for today - I got a start on installing the rudder cables. I wish the plans said something about NOT fitting the snap-in cable bushes already. They all had to come out so I could get the cable rod-ends through them. The centre hole in each bush is too small, and the bushes have to be squeezed into an oblong shape to get the rod-ends through. Naturally you cannot do this when they are installed into the bulkheads. Anyway, done now.
Once the wire cables were installed, and bolted up to the rudder control horns, then I could make a start on the links that connect them to the pedals int he cockpit. I positioned the pedals where I think I'll want them and then carefully measured the the length of connecting links necessary.
I made up the links for the left side rudder cable, and installed tonight, but will wait until tomorrow to finish off the other side.
