A big day in the workshop today, which started off with installation of my second flap position sensor. I need two sensors, one for feedback to the flap controller function of the VP-X, and the second for the Angle of Attack system.
I needed to extend the wires slightly on each sensor, and have terminated them into a simple plastic terminal strip. Once installed into the aircraft then I also terminated the flap motor wires into this terminal strip as well.
After all was done I connected up my 12V power supply and ran the flap motor up and down a few times to make sure the sensors operated correctly, and didn't reach end-of-travel in either direction.
