I did some more work today on the flap position sensor. I needed to come up with a way to safely route six wires for the two sensors, plus another two wires for the flap motor. From the pictures you can see that I fitted a couple wiring bushes at each end of my sensor mounting bracket. This allows all wires to feed back through the bracket to a terminal strip that I mounted just below.
From the terminal strip I will run an 8-core cable (if I can find one) back up to the instrument panel, via the centre tunnel. To help keep the wiring well away from the flap actuator arm I cut a wide slot into the bagge compartment tunnel cover (bottom picture). I'll line the hole with something to prevent chaffing of the wires.
