Brief Description:  Instrument Panel Cut-Outs

Well, my short term goal this week was to do something every day, and with a couple hours spent working on the panel again tonight, my goal has been nailed. Seven days straight of working on my plane, and it feels good.

Tonight I finished cutting out all the holes for my switches, including one extra for a spare. I'm sure I'll want to add some new-fangled gizmo by the time my build is finished, so I thought I best make provision for an extra switch now while it's still easy. I'll order another "million-dollar" switch from Mouser (did I mention already how good these guys are) to fill the blank hole.

Anyway, I'm very happy with how the switch layout has turned out. I also made a full scale paper template of the Kanardia Horis PFD that I'm going to install between the two Skyviews, to see how it looks. Yep, I like it. This will be my standalone backup flight instrument should my whole Skyview system ever fail me. Truth be know, I suspect I'll end up just flying off the Horis so that I can leave a full screen OzRunways moving map on my primary Skyview. Time will tell I guess.
