I drifted around between several different jobs today, but by far the most satisfying was building the empennage. I bolted the horizontal stabiliser in place and verified that it was still perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.........spot on!
I then got the vertical stabiliser out of storage. I had to trim a little piece out of the flange of the forward spar, down at the bottom, as per the drawings. Not sure why the instructions didn't call for this when building it. Oh well, done now. After touching up the exposed metal with some primer I then clamped the vertical stabiliser in place.
