Back in the middle of last winter I made the mistake of trying to get the right landing light lens out so I could clean it. I discovered that when it's cold, if you try to squeeze the perspex slightly to get it out of the hole, it will break. Bummer.
I ordered two new perspex pieces, one as a spare, and now that the temperature is nice and warm again, I decided to make up a new lens. Lucky I ordered two, because I broke one when drilling. Bugger, bugger, bugger!
Eventually I got a new lens made up and it fits very nicely. Think I'll just leave it installed forever.
