Brief Description:  2: Calibrating Fuel Tanks

I continued troubleshooting my left tank fuel sender issue by setting up a small USB endoscope camera that I bought some time ago. It worked very well. I first put it into the inboard end of the tank, through the sender unit hole, to see if there was anything inside that might be fouling the float. Nope, nothing to see here.

I then put the fuel sender back in and then poked the camera in through the fuel filler hole. It took some doing, but I did manage to wriggle the camera down through the rib lightening holes, all the way to the fuel sender. Although I could not see the actual float, I could manouver the camera into such a position that I could see the sender unit and most of the bent wire float arm. Everything looked fine, so I decided to again start adding fuel.

I put in five litres but again, nothing registering back at the Dynon Skyview.

At that I decided to call it quits. I'll come back to this next year!
