After finishing the wing tips I then proceeded with some more work on the left wing root fairing. I've made this job difficult for myself by not installing the nutplates prior to fitting the wings, but there's no way I'm taking the wings off now, so I'll just suck it up and deal with the task as best as I can.
I trimmed the left fairing so that there's an even 1/4" gap all the way round. I then started drilling and countersinking for the nutplates. I even got a few of the easier ones installed.
