I saw on another builder's log how he spaced the top cowl up about 5" so he could then mark a cut line on the baffles. Damn good idea I thought, so today I did the same.
Pictures below show how I spaced the top cowl. It took quite a bit of time to make up the spacers, but well worth the effort. I then marked a (rough) line on the baffles, 5" down from the underside of the top cowl. In theory, when I cut to this line then I should be able to fit the top cowl ..... in theory.
I started cutting the baffle sections before then calling it a day.
