Some more work today on the bottom cowl left side louvre. I first match drilled the louvre panel to the cowl which then gave me the reference points necessary for cutting out the slots. I drilled each end with a stepped bit, being careful to not allow it to wander off centre (which is very easy to do). I then cut between the holes with my dremel and filed down to the neat finish you see in the first picture below. Pretty happy with the result.
Next was the easy step of rivetting the louvre to the inside of the cowl, oh, after first bending the louvre "fins". Oh yeah, and that reminds me, when bending the fins I created a few big scratches through the alodine finish, so I rubbed the piece back and re-alodined before rivetting in place.
