Finally today I continued with the bottom cowl louvers. I'm still waiting for more sanding pads before I can sand back the right side core material, so I continued on with the left side for now.
I marked out where the louver panel needs to be installed, and then laid up four layers of fibreglass with a layer of peel ply on top. I had plenty of resin left over, so I added some micro-balloons and applied some to the left side canopy handle and skirt intersection, where the side skirt meets the rear skirt. When hardened I'll sand back and hopefully start building a nice smooth surface.
