Brief Description: 1: Bottom Cowl Mixture Control Recess
I'm very happy with how the recess in the bottom cowl (for the mixture control linkage) has worked out.
Today I sanded back the basic fibreglass lay-up from yesterday, and then added a resin/micro-balloon mixture to both inside and outside surfaces. I let it harden in front of the wood heater before then sanding smooth. It looks great, but the test is in how it works in practice, so I fitted and operated the mixture control through its full range of travel ......... bingo! It's great, and allows very good clearance.
