I got quite tired of sanding fibreglass around the front windscreen, so turned my attention elsewhere for a while.
The mixture control arm hits agaimnst the side of the bottom cowl, so today I started making a small fibreglass bulge to accomodate it. I cut out an oversized hole, backed it from behind with a piece of stiff cardboard (jammed in place with a large foam block), then formed a bulge shape with Play Dough. With the basic shape formed I then laid up a few layers of fibreglass cloth, covered in peel ply, just to try and help remove excess resin, then set it all in front of the wood heater to go off overnight.
Looking forward to seeing how it turns out tomorrow.
