Today I also fitted one of the horizontal hinge sections to the bottom cowl. I prepared the hinge piece by drilling extra holes between the rivet holes, and scuffing up with rough sandpaper, to help the resin bond better.
With both resin and rivets, this hinge piece should stay firm for the life of the aeroplane.
I've left this to properly set before flipping over and doing the other side.
