First job today was finishing off the alternate air flap on the bottom of the air filter box. I routed the control cable around the engine mount and worked out where I needed to strip back the outer sheath. I thought stripping the sheath was going to be a bugger, but a simple snip with the sidecutters and all good.
I fixed the control cable to the bottom of the filter box and then realised that you can't attach the wire end to the flap without removing the box from the engine. Theres a screw that you wrap the wire end around, and you must hold the screw head from inside the filter box with a phillips head screwdriver.
Oh well, off with the filter box. I then attached the wire end a refitted. All good.
Had to take the air filter box off to attach the control cable
