Another job today was fitting the hinge sections to the sides of the bottom cowl. I already had them cut to length, match drilled and cleco'd in place, so just a matter of cleaning up all the holes.
To make for a better bond than just relying on rivets alone, I took the guidance provided in the manual and applied heaps of resin. I scuffed up all surfaces, and also drilled extra holes in the hinge pieces, to help provide the best possible bonding surface.
A bit messy, but job is now done and hinges in place.
