Some more work today on the engine air filter box assembly.
After previously working out the correct vertical alignment with the air intake scoop, I made a cut in the top plate flange and bent the piece to the required angle. Next up, I assembled in accordance with the instructions (mounting plate; top plate; air filter; fibreglass cover, with a 1/16" spacer between top plate and mounting plate), clamped it all together (pictire 2 below), then match drilled rivet holes all the way round.....except for forward of the bend line.
I also worked on getting the cut-out right for the mixtrure control linkage (picture 3 below)
