A couple nights during the week, plus two days over the weekend, and I've managed to progress the engine baffles quite a bit. Gee, these things do take a lot of time.
One thing I realised is that the baffle kit supplied is for an O-320 engine (not fuell injected), therefore there's no provision for the fuel line to the injector spider to pass through the baffles. I had to drill a hole and make up a grommet for this. Unfortunately I got the hole in the wrong spot initially, so then I had to enlarge and make a "double plate' of sorts to hide the mess. Noone will ever know, so all good.
The plans call for rivetting the majority of the baffles together, but I'm going to hold off doing this for the moment, at least until everything is fully completed. It's hard enough getting the pieces in and out as it is, let alone having to take them out as an assembly.
Anyway, a lot of progress, but still quite a way to go before these baffles are finished.
