Brief Description:  Engine Oil Cooler Connections

A short stint out at the hangar today messing around with the engine oil cooler connections. I remember now, reading somewhere about fitting various connections to the back of the engine block before actually hanging the engine.

Oh boy, wish I didn't forget that! Not to worry, a little bit of ingenuity, and a few choice words, and a couple very difficult plugs for oil cooler connections were eventually removed from the back of the engine.

I also had another realiseation. Now that I've decided to relocate the oil cooler away from the baffles and onto the firewall, maybe the custom-made fluid lines will no longer be the right lengths. Hmmm. It would seem that they will still be okay, but I might need to order another 45 degree fitting to make it work. I see another Aircraft Spruce order coming up.
