Spent an hour after work today working on the wing bolts. Specifically, I chipped away at trying to get the nuts onto the bottom bolts. Gee, this is tough.
After struggling with various tools, and swear words, I eventually discovered that my telescoping magnet stick is the perfect tool for holding the nuts in place. I got the outermost nuts installed on both sides quite easily with this tool.
When torquing up the bolts, I noted that it took around 25in-lb just to drive the bolt into the nut. I added 55in-lb, and set my torque wrench to 80in-lb. It took a while to wind the bolts into the nuts, but it wasn't too hard.
That's two nuts done.....six to go.
The first of the problem nuts is in place. Happy days!
