Brief Description:  5: Fuselage Trolley Repairs

While working away today I noticed that the trolley that supports Miss Tango was actually starting to come apart. The main section that sits under the main spar, and carries the majority of the weight, was leaning forward with the support brace lifting away from the main longitudinal beam. If this were to collapse then it would result in disaster!

I immediately went out and bought a small trolley jack and a couple axle stands. I jacked up the front of the aeroplane at the engine mount, and sat it down on the axle stands (see second picture below) so that it was just off the trolley.

I then slid in underneath and fitted a couple bracing timbers to ensure everything holds together.

Phew, disaster averted!
