Brief Description:  4: AoA Tubing

While installing the wings a few weeks back, I accidentally pulled out one of the plastic tubes that runs through to the AoA sensor. Whoops. Today I reinstalled this tube, which proved very, very difficult.

The hard part was threading the tube through the fuselage hole, and into the first wing rib. The space is very limited, and the holes do not line up (refer second picture below). I found I needed to remove the aileron control rod so that I could get access through the large hole in the fuselage sidewall.

Once I got the tube into the first wing rib, I then had to thread it through all the other ribs, by reaching in through the underwing inspection holes. Trouble is, the tight S-bend meant I could only pull through about 2" at a time. My process:
* Push through a couple inches of tube from inside the cabin
* Slide under the wing and pull through the slack
* Climb out from under the wing, and push through a couple more inches of slack
* Slide back under the wing and pull through the slack
* Repeat many, many times until pulled all the way through.

Thankfully my mate, Pete Harkness, turned up toward the end and was able to help. The last few feet went much quicker.
