The last hour for today was spent testing (and playing with) all the lights. Everything works well.
Having the VP-X is a great aid in testing as well. I can read current draw (amps) directly from the Skyview screen. The FlyLED lights are awesome. Landing lights draw a total of just 3.4 amps, while the taxi lights draw 1.4 amps. Heaps better than the old halogen technology.
Anyway, tonight I tested the following: * Landing Lights - all good * Taxi Lights - all good * Strobe Lights - all good, and synchronised * Nav Lights - all good
I have configured my two 3-position instrument panel lighting switches as follows: * LAND LTS--OFF--TAXI LTS (either landing lights are on, or taxi lights, not both) * STROBE--OFF--STROBE+NAV (in one position the stobe lights are on, in the other position both the strobe and nav lights are on (centre position is off))
