Brief Description:  Hangar Gas Bottle Shed

Most of today was spent building a small colorbond garden shed for the outside of my hangar. I decided that rather than have my two 45kg gas bottles sitting out in the open for all the world to see (and possibly pinch), I'd rather have them locked away inside a little "gas bottle shed".

I ordered online and the shed arrived as a flat pack. I put together the main wall and roof sections myself, then to assemble I called on my dad Bruce to help. After about five hours all up, the shed was built and in position. Now the plumber can come back and fit off the gas regulator and auto change-over valve. I'm going to have two 45kg bottles, which will last me forever (so I'm told). When one bottle runs empty the valve will automatically swap over to the other bottle. I then change the empty bottle. Easy.

Not shown in the pictures are the ventilation panels I cut into the end walls, top and bottom. Apparently you need this if installing gas bottles in an enclosed space. There's probaly more than enough gaps in the shed itself to ventilate to standards, but what the heck, I fitted vent panels anyway.
