Next step on the canopy build is to match drill the plexiglass windshield to the roll bar, but before I started drilling I did some more trimming. I had the windshield on and off about four times, marking, trimming, sanding, test fitting, repeat, until eventually I was half-happy about how it sat on the front deck.
Then I match drilled.
No dramas with this. I took it easy, using a perspex drill bit first, then swapping to a regular bit to drill through the steel frame. After match drilling was complete I then countersunk the plexiglass holes to suit the head of a 6-32 screw, and enlarged to 5/32", as per instructions. I then turned my attention to the steel frame and drilled and tapped to accept 6-32 screws.
So far so good.
