More work on the plexiglass canopy this afternoon. All the 3/32" rivet holes needed to be reamed to final size and countersunk. I went very slowly, as follows:
1: debur all the holes (didn't want an errant bur causing my drill bit to grab) 2: drill out to 1/8" 3: use my #30 countersink bit on all holes .... very slowly 4: drill out to final size of 5/32" (which is oversize, to prevent stress)
All went well, with no dramas.
Next I final drilled all the holes on the frame to #40, and deburred, and then I could cleco the bubble back onto the frame.
I then put the windscreen section in place, fiddled around with position, and marked out where I'm going to make my first cut .... tomorrow.
