Brief Description: 2: Trimming the Plexiglass Canopy
I spent the rest of this morning making some fine trim cuts along the bottom edges of the plexiglass bubble. There needs to be a 1/4" gap between the bottom of the plexiglass and the top of the canopy frame side bows, to allow the side skirt parts to fit properly. I've ended up with about half this gap at the rear, tapering to the proper gap at the front.
So, working on one side at a time, I measured and marked the required cut line, removed the bubble from the frame, laid out the line with tape, made the cut, sanded smooth, and then put the bibble back on the frame to check the result.
Perfect.
This gap between the plexiglass edge and the top of the frame side bow needs to be 1/4" all round
