Next job finished off today was the wiring pass-thru's on the firewall. I'm pretty sure there's no more wires to be run through to the firewall forward (or anywhere for that matter), so decided to seal up the three holes.
The two main wiring holes have a proper fireproof penetration kit fitted. To finish these off I wrapped the wiring in firesleeve, then bound it all together with a special self-sealing fireproof tape. The whole lot is then clamped in place on the stainless steel fitting, as shown in the pictures below.
It makes for a very neat job.
There's also another smaller wiring hole down near the starter relay. This one I simply followed the standard Vans design, using a plastic snap-in bush and then covering it all up with fire retardant sealant. Looks messy, but it'll work all the same.
