Today I rivetted my newly made doubler plate to the firewall, then I bolted the ammeter shunt and alternator fuse block into place. I also made up a copper link to connect the shunt direct to the output of the master relay.
Next I started connecting up the main power cables, including the one that runs to the VP-X, and that's when it happened!
Tightening up the power lug on the VP-X, I broke it off. Aaaaarrggghhh!
Time to stop right there. I'll send a message off to Vertical Power and ask their advise on how to repair. I suspect it'll need to be sent back to the States .... $$$
I should have just stayed in bed today :-(
