With the canopy frame bent to its proper profile I could then set about match drilling the slide rails to the fuselage.
I did have a little drama with this as the rails were not exactly parallel with each other if I left them aligned to the fuselage sides, and they were also about 1/2" further apart than what the instructions suggested they should be. I measured again, double checked the canopy frame fit, and measured once more. Confident that I've got the frame set up correctly, I then match drilled the slide rails.
Next I turned my attention to the rear slide rail, which, if you move it backward/forward, adjusts the closed height of the back end of the canopy. This needs to be 1/16" lower than the fuselage skin, so I needed to move the rail forward a small amount. I then match drilled two of the holes and held secure with a couple machine screws.
I then drilled a couple holes and fitted the threaded rod support brace, as shown in the third picture below.
