District Council have given me the go-ahead to include bathroom and kitchen facilities into my hangar, however to do so will require it to be built in a new location to allow provision for a septic waste water system.
I attended the site with Airport Manager, Ian Fritsch, who described his decision to bring forward future plans for an additonal taxiway and public road extension, thereby allowing provision for a dozen or so new hangar lots.
This will work out very well for me as the line of hangar lots will be incorporated into the airport security fence line, allowing me to drive up to the back of the hangar and enter without the need to go through any airport security gates.
