After my morning of flying down at Port Augusta, I didn't get back to Roxby until early afternoon, so only a half-day of work ont he plane today.
I continued on with the right wing tip. I'd previously repaired my mis-drilled holes in the wing tip with some resin flox, and today I sanded it all back nice and smooth. I then positioned the wing tip back onto the end of the wing and redrilled all the rivet holes, this time with the trailing edge much better aligned with the aileron.
Next I fitted the wing tip rib, match drilled new holes, and cleco'd in place (bottom picture). After smoothing and deburring I also then alodined and primed the rib ready for rivetting into the wing tip tomorrow.
I test fitted the wing tip with the rib cleco'd in place and found I ended up with a small misalignment with the aileron, but it's not too bad and I decided I'm just going to live with it.
The right wing tip cleco'd in place
Pretty happy with how well the tip fits into the wing leading edge
