After fitting the left wing tip light, I then decided to continue on and install the perspex cover.
Vans supply on oversize perspex blank which you need to carefully trim to size, then drill screw holes, dimple the perspex, and add nutplates to the wing tip.
You only get one shot on the perspex, so it's very slow going, trimming on the scotchbrite wheel, just a little at a time.... checking the fit... trimming a little more.
Once I was happy I then taped the perspex cover in place and drilled a number of screw hole locations. The instructions call for just two screws, one top and one bottom right in the 90 degree corner, but I read a Light Sport Aircraft Advisory that recommended adding extra screws for a better seal.... so I did this.
Fiddly work, but reasonably happy with how the left wing tip has turned out.
Now for the right....
