Tango Papa Zulu now has bells and whistles! My two Dynon HDX1100 Skyviews arrived during the week and today I got them installed and powered up.
I'd previously left the cut-outs in the instrument panel slightly undersize so before I could do anything I needed to carefully disconnect all my switches and instruments so I could remove the panel. This took two hours alone.
With the blank aluminium panel on the bench I then enlarged the cut-outs to the right size and fitted nutplates. That was about another two hours. Then I reinstalled the whole lot and reconnected all the wiring.
When I turned it on everything just worked. I then spent the rest of the day, and most of the evening, playing with my new toys.
These Skyviews are awesome!
