While working on the wiring to the ignition switch, which sits just below the trim indicator, I became quite bothered with how I'd wired up this little device. The indicator has six wires and I'd simply used inline solder and heatshrink joints to connect it into the aircraft wiring loom. This would be a bit of a bugger if I ever want to take the indicator out.
So, I cut the wires and fitted a 6-way molex connector instead. It looks heaps better, plus it will make life a lot easier if I ever need to work on this little device someday.
Took nearly two hours though!
