While waiting for paint to dry on my park brake bracket, I decided to fit my headset jacks. After considering all sorts of locations (there's no perfect spot) I ended up deciding on the arm rests, just slightly behind the seat back when it's in the rear most position. This should prevent hitting the jacks with my elbow, yet afford minimal twisting to get them in and out when seated. We'll see I guess.
The microphone jacks (fitted toward the front) are installed with insulating washers to keep them from touching the metalwork. Although the headphone jacks (fitted toward the rear) also look like they're insualted, they are not.
I'll work out how to route the wires another day.
