Brief Description:  Firewall

Another little job finished tonight after work when I riveted the doubler plate for the fuel line bulkhead fitting into place on the firewall. Nothing difficult, just another thing done.

I also installed the fuel pump/filter again so I could take a heap of fuel system measurements. I decided I'm going to get a professional to make up some of my fuel lines for me. I'm not 100% happy with the short "J-hook" section I made that runs from the selector valve to the fuel filter. The bends required are very tight, and although I came close, my bender just does not allow me to make up a piece that will fit perfectly. The piece I made could be better.

I'm also very hesitant about the two sections of fuel line that run from each wing tank to the selector valve. This has "messy" written all over it if done in rigid tubing, so I'd prefer a couple flexible braided lines here.

I was put onto Tom Swearengen at TS Flightlines by a couple guys on Vans Aircraft Builders facebook page, so am going to look into some professionally made fuel lines from him.

Stay tuned :-).
