Brief Description:  1: Andair Fuel Selector Valve

My Andair fuel selector valve arrived today, and I love it!

I paid a little extra and ordered the black satin fascia plate. My interior is going to be all black and dark grey, so I didn't want the standard silver fascia if I didn't have to. I also got the fascia plate with countersunk screw holes, so the mounting screws will be flush. I'm going to find someone who can powdercoat the screw heads satin black as well.

Even though I'm not going to use the fuel selector mounting plate that comes with the kit (I'm going to build my own custom console), I did still fit the selector valve to it so that I can see how it fits up.

The first thing I found out is the instruction say to drill a 1-1/8" hole, however in practice this is quite a bit oversized. A 1" hole would be a nice snug fit in the first instance, then, once the three mounting holes were marked and drilled, then the centre hole could be drilled out to 1-1/8" afterward.

This valve feels really nice to operate. Very smooth, and very positive operation. Much more expensive than the standard valve that comes with the kit, but my first impression is money well spent.
