Spent today preparing the right wing bottom skin. Match drilled all holes, then set about the task of dimpling. Boy, the pneumatic dimpler that I borrowed from Cousin Harvey sure came in handy today. This made very easy work of dimpling all the wing rib and rear spar holes, plus all the wing skin holes around the edges. I actually got a sore hand from pulling the trigger.
Once I'd dimpled all the holes that I could reach with the pneumatic squeezer, then I completed the rest on the c-frame. I still can't believe how lucky I was to find this for sale online. Have never seen another once since. It's sure been a good buy.
Anyway, once all holes had been dimpled then I smoothed the edges on the skin, and scuffed the inside surface with a scotchbrite pad, just to roughen it up a bit to help with primer adherence.
A thorough wipe over with isolpropyl alcohol, and then out witht he spray gun for a coat of protective primer.
This pneumtaic squeezer got a good workout today
Also put the c-frame to task today as well
