Next job for today was to finish off the landing light lens for the right wing. Yesterday I (stupidly) broke the perspex lens, so today I got myself some superglue and put it back together.
I then fitted the two retaining brackets to the lens using the supplied "soft pull" pop rivets. These break off much easier than regular pop rivets ensuring there is no excessive stress placed on the perspex.
Once I stuck on the sealing foam then the cracked piece didn't look so bad after all. Fitted in the wing then you cannot see it......but I know it's there.
End of the day, this lens has fitted up much better than the one in the other wing. It's a nice close fit all the way round. I'll probably still make two new lenses, but neither will be a show stopper for airworthiness. It's just a personal satisfaction thing.....and I'm not satisified that one lens doesn't fit as well as it could, and the other one has a behind-the-scenes crack.

With the sealing strip in place you can hardly tell there's a crack
