Brief Description: Roll Servo and Right Wing Fairings

Today I finished off assembling the right wing aileron bellcrank, complete with autopilot roll servo. I probably spent longer than necessary on this, but I wanted it just right. When I first went to install the assembly onto the wing spar I found the holes on the mounting brackets didn't quite line up with the holes in the spar. I needed to take a sixteenth off the length of the brass bush (which ultimately sets the distance between the mounting brackets. This meant taking it out, disassembling, shortening the bush on the scotchbrite wheel (boy am I glad I got one of these), reassembling, and bolting into place.
While reassembling I made sure the servo actuator was set correctly (approx 90 degrees to the actuating rod), the locking nuts were done up, all bolts were torqued correctly, and the neutral position template was in place (this will come out once the ailerons are set up).
Next up I assembled the left wing bellcrank, which went much quicker than the right....probably because there's no need to install a servo motor to this side.
The instructions call for "your preferred grease" to be applied to the brass bushes that rotate within the bellcrank assembly. Well I don't have a preferred grease, so I went over to the hardware store and got myself a can of spray on "white lithium grease". Never heard of it before, but seems like it'll do the job.
I finished the day off by installing the left wing flap and aileron fairings. I just need a second set of hands to help with the dozen-or-so rivets that require bucking from inside the wing. Perhaps a job for after work one night during the week.
