Over the course of the last few nights I've been working on the four aileron hinge brackets (two for each wing). This has meant the usual smoothing, match drilling, deburring, alodining and priming, plus cutting out the odd small part........in this case, the aileron stops.
I've assembled the two outboard brackets, shown in picture 2 below, and tomorrow will finish off the inboards. There's actually a Service Bulletin regarding RV-7/8/9 inboard hinge bracket cracks, so I've asked Vans to send me the parts needed to address the issue. I might as well install them now while it's still easy to do.
