Brief Description: EAA AirVenture 2017
|
|
I recently took some time out from building, and headed to the States for a couple weeks to attend EAA AirVenture 2017.
Wow ...... what an experience!
As well as an amazing airshow, I also took a great deal of value from attending the various forums/workshops available, and discussing the intricacies of equipment and instruments with the seemingly endless array of exhibitors on hand. In addition to gawking at the incredible line-up of aircraft, my week at Oshkosh also included the following:
* Forum on how to plan the perfect paint scheme * Technical discussion by Lycoming on their Thunderbolt range of engines * Forum on fibreglassing for RV builders * Hints for homebuilders forum, covering tubing and throttle assemblies * Forum on the principles of, and how to fly to, Angle of Attack * Discussions with many exhibitors, including; Dynon, Apha Systems, Flyboy Accessories, Kogan sunshades, several tool suppliers, Lycoming and Superior engines, RC Allen Instruments, UMA Instruments, MyPilotPro, Factory Direct Models, Guardian Avionics, Scheme Designers, plus many others that I can't remember.
I ended up buying a few items, including: * Sliding canopy extension rails * Throttle quadrant * Internal rudder stop * a few small tools * Angle of Attack probe and mounting kit * AC43.13-1B Aircraft Inspection, Repair & Alterations
I'll buy quite a bit more next year, I'm sure.
