For the most part, the weather in the outback is awesome. When we get a hot spell, however, then you really start to appreciate just how tough the early pioneers of this land had it in the days of no air conditioning.
I'm certainly no tough pioneer, so air conditioning is an absolute necessity for the Roxby Downs Aeroplane Company. The shed I'm renting already had a wall mounted unit, and I also brought in my portable unit as well. Although it still gets very hot, these two little performers are able to delay the temperature build-up long enough for me to get a few hours work in.
Looking forward to tomorrow.....it's meant to drop off to a lovely 33C. Perfect plane building weather.
