I have decided to use blind rivets in attaching some of the ribs in the leading edge assembly to the forward spar. Per discussions on the Van's Air Force forum and Van's approval of certain blind rivets in the leading edge assembly, I ordered a few extras from Van's and it arrived today. Specifically, I ordered some extra LP4-3 rivets and a small supply of LP4-4 rivets. The LP4-3s will be used where there is no reinforcement plate on the spar web. The LP4-4s will be used where the extra length is required by the presence of the reinforcement plate. I also ordered some touch-up paint for weldments (same color as the factory powder coating) and some sample electrical connectors.
Regarding the electrical connectors, I want to compare the hardware from Van's to connectors available locally.
