Brief Description:  Reilyn's nursery (newest granddaughter)

Derek and Julie are expecting their second child in December and asked for a little help with the new nursery. Connie and I are always up for some project work when visiting, so we painted and put up some chair railing in Reilyn's new room per Julie's design. My son Derek was available after work to help with both the painting and the wood work.

We did the room in two colors, khaki and pink, with a cream colored chair rail separating the colors. We made the chair rail from two different types of wood trim from Lowes. Julie likes simplicity, so the rail was fabricated from a piece of 1/4" x 2-1/4" pine topped with a piece of 1/2"x3/4" pine. The result is a simple chair rail thats look colonial in style.

The room isn't decorated yet but I included some pictures below of the paint, railing and basic furniture. Turned out nice, I think.

By the way, we are about 80% sure that the new little one is a girl. If we get surprised, we may have to go back to Tucson and change the pink.
