Brief Description: Completed the aileron to bellcrank rods
Today's shop session was short. I inserted the rod end fittings in the aileron push/pull tube and riveted them in place. The plans call for two rivets in each end at 90 degrees to each other. Match drilling was easy with a drill press and tubing jig but the riveting was a little challenge. I got the best results with a squeezer but the tool kept wanting to slip and clinch the shop head. Eventually, I got all the rivets installed. I then scotchbrited the ends and primed (just the ends, the tubes are powder coated from Van's).
