MERFI at Grimes Field, Urbana Ohio - Page 5
One of my favorite planes since seeing the original prototype many years ago at Oshkosh is the Lopresti Swift Fury. Way back in the 1980's, the Fury showed up at Oshkosh in a couple different Flavors. One was a recip while a follow-on prototype was equipped with a small turboprop powerplant. They were taking deposits at that time for orders at about $10k per slot. Unfortunately, the planes never got into production. Now the Fury seems to be back but it remains to be seen whether it will be produced in numbers. Too bad, she is a beauty!
