I have included a couple pictures of Gwen's completed aircraft along with a photo of a full-size D-VIII that attended the fly-in. I believe the full-size Fokker came from Kermit Week's collection and it has an original rotary engine. Many of the replicas, particularly the scaled down versions use variants of the Volkswagen engine.
I have also included a close-up of the cockpit area of Gwen's plane. Please note the replica machine guns and the German camo pattern. If I remember correctly, the plane was covered with the Stitz process but the final color coat on the fuselage was done with latex. It was, in fact, taped and the individual colors were painted. It is not printed fabric. In addition, I should mention that Gwen scaled down the camo pattern to 3/4 to match the plane. As I said earlier, a really nice job of homebuilding. The detail is impressive.
