I completed the trim servo cover a few months ago, however, I wasn't completely happy with the fit of the assembly in the elevator. Although the mounting plate in the elevator was installed with dimpling matching the platenuts, I tried machine countersinking the cover. At the time, I wasn't sure how well dimpling would work close to the edges of the plate. While my results were ok, the fit wasn't quite perfect. So, I elected to rework the plate using the appropriate size dimple dies for the screws called out in the plans. I also dimpled the plate for the rivets attaching the servo brackets. Results using dimpling versus countersinking are much better (pleased with the results). The finished plate is shown below temporarily installed.
